First Aid Bag

 The first aid kit I had in the shop, looked like this:

It served it's purpose to keep my first aid supplies at hand and hooked onto my stroller.  But sometimes the contents would spill when I tossed it in the diaper bag or into the trunk when the stroller was folded up and put in there.

SO......I redesigned it this winter and I am much happier with how it is working.

First of all, I put a zipper on the top!  It is very similar to my zippered bags.   The zipper ensures that the contents stay put if I toss it in my purse or diaper bag or under the stroller. I liked having the "clutch" handle on the side too.  If I have the umbrella stroller, it slips nicely over the handle.  If i have the double stroller, I can still simply hook it on with a linky still.

The back is still clear plastic.  In an emergency, I like to have clear view, so I can grab that band aid quickly!  A small gusset on the bottom ensures that everything has plenty of space inside the bag!

Perfect addition to your life now for the runny noses (Kleenex) and chapped lips (chap stick).  And with summer just around the corner, you can keep up with the clean hands (sanitizer), bug bites (itch stick) and scraped knees (band aids)!  Get it HERE.

FACEBOOK!!!

I finally did it and joined facebook...or rather my hubby signed me up and said to jump on board!  So here I am in the new year trying to do better for my business with the blog and facebook.

While the shop is closed (I'm still traveling a bit:), I"m sharing some of my new designs that will appear in the shop at the end of the month.  Follow along here and on facebook.

Meet the Zippered Summer Bag!
Terry cloth on the outside, with colored ruffle, and color and plastic lined interior.  Makes the perfect bag for carrying around your sunscreen, bug spray and many other summer lotions and needs.  I actually use it for travel as well.  Makes a great toilettry bag.  And if my stuff spills?  I just toss it in with the regular wash and then hang to dry!

Custom Orders and NEW Products

Keeping up with the newest little and balancing my business has proven to be challenging, but I'm finally getting back on track and hope to start working more on my business this fall.

I am currently selling ready made items (lunch kits, list keepers, and diaper keepers) locally.  Grass Roots Eco Friendly Cleaners and Market is in Frisco at 121 and Custer Rd.  Keep up with Courtney (the owner) on facebook for some great sales and events.

Here is a bunch of custom orders from this summer as well as a sneak peak at NEW ITEMS that will be showing up in the shop come Monday morning.

My sister got married in June.  Her colors were orange and yellow.  I made 210 luggage tags to use as place cards on the tables at the reception and 30 crayon rolls for the kids at the reception.

The little neices and nephew got color coordinating bibs for the reception.  I made them using a children's button up shirt (to get the buttons and pocket for the boy) and then backed them with chenille.  Small for the baby and big for the toddlers.

 Becky got a orange silk purse to carry around.  Made from this pattern by Rae.

With 7 of us heading to the pool this summer, the pool bag got bigger and I was constantly needing to dig to the bottom to find the sunscreen....so  I figured I should be able to come up with a better solution....and I did!

This "Sunscreen Bag" is made of terry cloth on the outside and I added a orange ruffle for color.  

 The inside is also lined with orange and PLASTIC!  I love that I can just wipe it out when needed.

 Small 2" gusset at the bottom helps it stand up to fill and retrieve items from.  Plenty big for all our summer pool needs.

Also perfect for shampoo and soap when traveling!  That's how I'll be using it this fall and winter.

Had a wife custom request a gift for her hubby.  Travel kit for toiletries and a luggage tag out of BATMAN fabric that she sent to me!  How fun is that!  I had just enough for a small snack bag, so did that too.

 With 5 kids, we get invited to a lot of birthdays.  This is my go to girl gift right now:  A custom zippered pouch filled with fun girly things like gum, nail polish, chapstick/lipstick and silly string!  (the kid contributions)

Had a custom baby shower gift set that I made last month.  Red Sock Monkeys: Diaper Keeper, Burpie and Bib.  You will be able to purchase these in the shop now in several different fabrics.  Set will sell for $16.
